The title page of this "exemplaire colorié pour l'auteur" is taken from:
IX Reprint of the publication "Étude sur les coquilles de la famille des Nayades qui habitent le bassin du Léman" (1867) facing the plain plates of the original edition with a set of handcoloured plates (sample). 56 pp., 9 four-coloured + 9 plain pls. The hand-coloured set was carried out exclusively for the author and is probably unique. It originates from the estate of E. Handschin in the library of S. G. A. Jaeckel, now stored in the "Haus der Natur, Cismar".
